The Enchanted Forest is an impressive sound and light show on in Pitlochry during the month of October. This year’s show has relocated from its previous home in Faskally Woods, to the Explorers’ Garden behind the Pitlochry Festival Theatre. The relocation of the show was the inspiration for this year’s theme ‘Transitions’.
Dress up warm! We went last night and it was a bit chilly in Pitlochry – get yourself a mulled wine on the way in. Tasty. It takes about an hour to walk around the network of paths. Here are a few photos of the EnchantedForest. Lots more on our Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/Torrdarach.
Tickets are available at the Pitlochry Enchanted Forest website at http://www.enchantedforest.org.uk/. Have fun.

The Rally of Scotland is the penultimate round of the high-profile Intercontinental Rally Challenge. A number of the stages have takenplace in Highland Perthshire and on Sunday 9th October there was a lengthy stage through the forest above Loch Tummel and the Queen’s View. As Loch Tummel is only a few miles from our Pitlochry B&B we decided to spectate at our first rally!
As it turns out, spectating at a rally consists of standing around in the cold for quite a while waiting for the odd rally car to blast past in a matter of seconds. I have to admit, however, that the bursts of action are probably worth the wait. As you can see from the images below I did not master the art of high speed motorsport photography!
