Art around Pitlochry
We have over 50 original paintings around Torrdarach House. These have been collected over many years and mainly from galleries across Scotland. Artists on our walls include, Douglas Phillips, Audrey Slorance, James Fullarton, Jennifer Mackenzie, John Lowrie Morrison, Roseanne Barr, Dronma and Elinor Evans.
Jennifer Mackenzie is probably our favourite artist and we have about 12 of her paintings around the house – we are big fans! See a couple of examples below.
We are often asked which galleries we have bought from and the answer is many. However, we have probably bought more from the Aberfeldy Gallery than any other individual gallery. Not far from Pitlochry, the Aberfeldy Gallery has, in our opinion, one of the best collections of paintings for sale in Perthshire. The gallery has just released its Christmas Exhibition 2011 brochure which contains works by at least six of the artists mentioned above, including Jennifer Mackenzie. So, if you like the paintings we have in Pitlochry, then get yourself over to the Aberfeldy Gallery this Christmas. The Exhibition runs 5 November to 6 January.
