Bothy refurbishment – week 1
There are several big projects on at Torrdarach House this winter. The first of these is the refurb of the original bothy behind the main house. Hopefully this derelict outbuilding will end up being a rather nice addition to our guest rooms. The old car port is to be removed and the final en-suite bedroom will have an enclosed private courtyard.
As you can see there is quite a lot to be done! Major damp issues requiring a full tanking system and the replacement of rotten roof timbers are the first jobs to be tackled.
Work started at the end of last week and we hope it will be completed by the end of January. We will post updates on progress throughout the winter.
